In Auriga —the celestial charioteer, with his cart of northern stars— shines an orange K-type star. Cooler and more golden than the Sun, it glows in that copper tone that betrays stellar age. A serene ember in the charioteer's cart, kindled in the heart of the Grand Siècle.
Where it is and when to see it
HIP 33415 lies in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is January: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight.
