Psi-9
Hot blue starIts story
Psi-9 Aurigae is a hot blue type B star burning at the astonishing distance of some 1,260 light-years, within the figure of the Charioteer. That the naked eye still catches it means its light is truly colossal —thousands of times the Sun's—. It rides through a sky strewn with open clusters and bright nebulae, deep within the Perseus Arm, one of our galaxy's great spiral structures.
