- Is it really my star?
- You'll receive a certificate with the exact coordinates of a real star from the Hipparcos catalogue, along with its unique astronomical ID. It is a symbolic gift that links you in a personal and permanent way to a real point in the universe, but it does not grant any property rights.
- Is it recognised by the IAU?
- No. The International Astronomical Union (IAU) is the only globally recognised authority for astronomical nomenclature, and it does not accept private star names. Stelvia offers its own symbolic registry as a personal commemorative gift, without claiming equivalence to any official registry.
- How long does delivery take?
- The digital certificate and AR app access are immediate after purchase. For the physical tiers (Gift and Premium), shipping takes 3-5 business days in Spain and 5-8 days in the rest of the EU, with tracking included.
- How does it look in the AR app?
- The AR app is a progressive web app, no download required. Open it from the certificate link, grant device-orientation permission and your phone will overlay the exact position of your star on the real sky. Works on Chrome Android and Safari iOS, day or night.
- Can I gift it the same day?
- Yes. The Digital + AR tier delivers the certificate by email instantly. If you want to surprise someone right away, you can choose the digital delivery and pair it later with the physical shipment of any tier.
- Refunds?
- The 14-day right of withdrawal generally applies under the Spanish TRLGDCU. However, fully personalised tiers (with name and dedication baked into the generated certificate) may be excluded from withdrawal under art. 103.c of the TRLGDCU. See our Terms & Conditions for the full detail.
