Its story

Upsilon Capricorni is a cool, enormous red M-type giant, whose reddish hue is noticeable even to a trained observer. It sits in the final stages of stellar life, swollen to dimensions that would engulf several planetary orbits of our own solar system. Its light, after travelling 580 years through the void, arrives faint but tinted a deep red from the constellation of the Sea Goat.
