Hot blue starIts story
25 Vulpeculae lies within the small and discreet constellation of the Fox, hidden deep in the Milky Way of summer, not far from the famous Coathanger asterism. It is a blue B-type star, fiercely hot, and its light needs around nine hundred and ninety-eight years to cross the void to Earth. Its photons set out at a time when the great Gothic cathedrals of the European continent had not yet been built.
