Its story
35 Vulpeculae is a white A-type star lying some one hundred and ninety light-years away, in the modest and sparsely populated constellation of the Fox, drawn in the seventeenth century by Hevelius between the Swan and the Arrow. Its cold, precise light reached us after nearly two centuries of travel, crossing a sky region thick with dense star fields. It is unassuming, yet its clear hue cuts against the warm tones of the summer Milky Way.
