Its story
23 Vulpeculae is a K-type orange giant breathing at 338 light-years, set inside the Little Fox —a constellation invented by Hevelius in the seventeenth century to fill an empty patch of sky. Cooler than the Sun, its muted glow belongs to that band where the Milky Way runs thick between Cygnus and Sagitta. It is warm light that travelled patiently from medieval times.
