Hot blue starIts story
13 Vulpeculae burns inside the Little Fox, a quiet constellation wedged between the Swan and the Arrow. It is a blue B-type star roughly 335 light-years away, with a surface several times hotter than the Sun and an intrinsic glow that makes it a silent beacon of an otherwise humble patch of sky. Its travelling photons departed when cavalry still roamed the fields of the Thirty Years' War.
