Its story
18 Vulpeculae shines in the Little Fox, a minor constellation tucked beneath Cygnus. At 423 light-years, this white A-type radiates a clean, hot tone characteristic of stars in full youth. Vulpecula is famous for hosting the Dumbbell Nebula, and 18 is part of the backdrop against which such deep-sky objects are framed. A white flame in one of the most modest constellations of the northern summer.
