Its story
It shines white, almost pearlescent, in the small constellation of Vulpecula, the fox, about 350 light years away. Its light set out around 1676, when Ole Rømer would soon measure the speed of light by observing Jupiter's moons. A-type, hotter than the Sun, its surface radiates with an almost crystalline cleanliness. A discreet flame nestled between its grand neighbours, the Swan and the Eagle —easy to overlook and yet intense.
