8 Vulpeculae sits 514 light-years away within the small constellation of the Fox, and forms a striking optical double with Alpha Vulpeculae —barely seven arcminutes apart in the sky, though they share no physical bond at all. It is an aged orange K-class giant that has already exhausted the hydrogen in its core and swollen beyond ten times the solar diameter, glowing with the warm tone of stellar maturity.
