Hot blue starIts story
Another blue ember in Puppis, class B, whose glow arrives after a 555 year journey. When that light first slipped free, Hernán Cortés had just stepped onto the American mainland and the world's maps were being redrawn each season. The star remains there, indifferent to flags, warming a patch of the southern sky with a surface temperature our Sun will never reach.
