Highly luminous starIts story
More than three thousand years have passed while the photons of this luminous white beacon in Puppis travelled toward human telescopes. When they set out, around the eleventh century before our era, the Phoenicians were spreading their alphabet across the Mediterranean and David's kingdom was flourishing in Jerusalem. The class A star shines far more intensely than the Sun; its light crosses distances in which civilisations are born, grow and vanish without altering its course.
