Its story

Deep within Puppis burns a blue-white A-type star whose brightness wavers gently, as if hesitating between two breaths. Its light has been travelling roughly 184 years, enough to have set out when Fraunhofer's refracting telescopes were unraveling the solar spectrum and unwittingly founding modern astrophysics. Its faint pulse is that same wonder repeated — a lukewarm heartbeat crossing the void.
