Hot blue starIts story
In the discreet constellation of Monoceros shines a blue star whose light set out 553 years ago, when the workshops of Nuremberg were printing some of the first engraved star charts. Its class B spectrum places it among the young, voracious suns, burning at brutal temperatures the Sun will never reach. It guards a seldom-visited corner of the winter sky, far from the more celebrated stars.
