Hot blue starIts story
In the solitary Unicorn shines a blue giant, fiery and young, with a surface temperature that dwarfs the Sun's. Its light set out nearly 1,200 years ago, when Charlemagne had just been crowned emperor and Carolingian Europe was carving out territories between monks and warriors. So hot that its luminosity betrays it despite the distance, it belongs to that lineage of stars that live little and burn much.
