Fumalsamakah

Hot blue starIts story
Fumalsamakah burns with a hot, young blue light at 408 light-years from the Earth, in the constellation Pisces, far from the more recognisable stars of the European autumn sky. Its Arabic name translates literally as «the mouth of the fish»: set into the imaginary geometry of the constellation, it marks the exact spot where one of the two fish seems to bite eagerly at something invisible. Its light, set out from the star four centuries ago, now reaches Europe from a time when Galileo was openly debating the ideas of Copernicus in front of ecclesiastical tribunals.
