10 Sagittae is a yellow G-type variable lodged in the small constellation of the Arrow, near the luminous corridor of the summer Milky Way. Its brightness is not steady: it shifts with a quiet rhythm that modern photometry has managed to follow night after night. Far more luminous and hotter than the Sun, it holds a golden light that surfaces among the densest star fields of the northern summer firmament.
Where it is and when to see it
10 Sagitta lies in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is July: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight. How high it climbs above the horizon depends on the latitude you watch from.
