Iot
Its story
Iota Telescopii sits in the Telescope, one of the constellations Lacaille christened from the Cape of Good Hope to celebrate the scientific instruments of the eighteenth century. It is a yellow G-type star at 371 light-years —far too distant to mistake for a twin of the Sun, yet a sister in colour and spectral character.
