Its story
Delta Coronae Australis is a solitary orange giant, without companions, in the small Southern Crown that curves below Sagittarius. Eleven times the Sun's radius and fifty-five times its light, in the midst of helium fusion at its core. At 178 light-years, its warm tone completes the southern diadem that the ancients imagined as a warrior's fallen laurel, far less celebrated than its northern twin.
