Theta Coronae Australis burns some 558 light-years away inside the small southern crown, a discreet and elegant garland set at the feet of Sagittarius. It is a yellow G-type star — distant, serene — whose light takes more than five centuries to cross space before joining the delicate pattern the constellation traces in the southern sky.
