Its story
In Corona Australis —that small arc south of Sagittarius— lives a serene white star of type A. Its light has been travelling a little over one hundred thirty-six years: it left as Europe finished laying its first telegraph lines and photography began to fix faces for posterity. Hotter and more luminous than the Sun, it shines with that cold purity the ancients attributed to gemstones. A discreet jewel set into a nearly forgotten crown.
