What is Kappa 2 Sculptor
Kappa2 Sculptoris is an orange K-type giant some 794 light-years away inside Sculptor, a discreet southern constellation that contains the south galactic pole. Its warm light crosses a sky region nearly empty of bright stars, offering in its modesty one of the few chromatic points visible in that quarter of the firmament.

Kappa 2 Sculptor lies in the southern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is September: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight.
