Its story
Sculptor is a recent constellation, traced by Lacaille in the 18th century, and within it pulses this orange K-class at two hundred and seventy-five light-years. Its light set out around 1750, when Lacaille himself was completing from the Cape of Good Hope his celebrated catalogue of the southern sky. There is a quiet justice in one of the stars he charted reaching us only now.
