Hot blue starIts story
In the small Southern Crown shines a blue star of fierce fire. Its light set out almost five centuries ago, around 1538, when Charles V was signing the Truce of Nice and conquistadors were founding Bogotá. Its blazing surface —many times hotter than the Sun's— turns it into a seething flame stitched to the southern sky.
