Its story
Lambda Coronae Australis sits 205 light-years away within the small austral half-ring of the Crown, the southern echo of Corona Borealis. A white A-type star, young and hot, it belongs to the small handful of stars that trace a barely perceptible garland beside the body of Sagittarius. The region is rich in dark nebulae and pockets of recent star formation.
