What is Omicron Coronae Borealis
Omicron-1 Coronae Borealis hosts a confirmed planet: one of the least massive worlds ever detected around a red clump giant. The star itself is an evolved K0 III, 270 light-years away, fusing helium at its core, with a radius ten times solar and fifty times the Sun's luminosity. The planet was revealed by the tiny radial wobbles it stirs in its host as it tugs gravitationally on the giant.

Omicron Coronae Borealis lies in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is April: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight. How high it climbs above the horizon depends on the latitude you watch from.
