Its story
Antlia, the air pump, is one of the modern constellations traced by Lacaille in the eighteenth century; within it lives this orange K-type star. Its light set out around 1666, while Robert Boyle was perfecting in London the vacuum experiments that gave the constellation its very name. The coincidence belongs to the cosmos, not to us; the copper glow knows nothing of it.
