11 Leonis Minoris lies remarkably close, barely 37 light-years away: a solar neighbour by galactic standards. It is a yellow G8 star, chromospherically active, with starspots covering more than 15 percent of its surface and a brightness cycle of around 18 days. It forms a binary system with a small red dwarf, and its primary mass scarcely exceeds the Sun's.
