Its story
42 Leonis Minoris is a white double star of the modest Lesser Lion, the quiet neighbour of the glorious Leo. Its spectral lines appear broadened because it spins fast: the contour of each line is blurred in the wind of its own rotating atmosphere. Its light crosses some three hundred and eighty years to reach us, time enough to have seen Newton's mechanics rise.
