Its story
41 Leonis Minoris is a white A-type star around 229 light-years away, inside one of the northern sky's most understated constellations. Leo Minor was sketched in by Hevelius in the 17th century to fill the gap between the Lion and the Great Bear; this white pinpoint, hotter and brighter than the Sun, is one of the beacons that hold up its quiet silhouette across the spring sky.
