Its story
68 Piscium is a yellow, somewhat evolved and quite luminous star in Pisces, 649 light-years away. At that cosmic depth it burns considerably brighter than the Sun, but its distance turns it into a modest point for the human eye. The light crossing Earth's atmosphere tonight left its photosphere during the fourteenth century, when the Black Death was sweeping across Europe and rewriting the face of the continent in its entirety.
