Its story

Hot, bluish-white and variable, this Puppis B-star —the stern of the old ship Argo— pulses to the rhythm of its restless atmosphere. Its light has been crossing space for 516 years: it set out around 1510, while Michelangelo was painting the Sistine vault and Renaissance brushes were touching, for the first time, the finger of God.
