Its story
In the Stern, only 88 light years away, this yellow-white F-type star shines at magnitude 5.93. Its light set out around 1937, in the midst of the Spanish Civil War and on the eve of the Second World War: a neighbour whose glow has been travelling for barely a century. Somewhat hotter and more energetic than the Sun, it embodies that cosmic closeness that turns some stars into witnesses almost of flesh, almost of historical time.
