Hot blue starIts story
In the Stern of the ship Argo burns a blue beacon 611 light-years away, near the young regions that populate the southern Milky Way. Its light departed around 1415, the year of the Battle of Agincourt, when English archers changed medieval warfare forever. Hot B-types are ultraviolet torches: they ionise the gases around them and weave glowing nebulae about themselves.
