Its story
It pulses in Puppis, another fragment of the old ship Argo Navis. An orange K-type star, cooler and older than the Sun, with a calm golden glow, its light set out some 472 years ago —when Titian was painting his imperial portraits of Charles V and Philip II and defining Venetian Renaissance painting. A warm point at the stern of a celestial vessel imagined by the ancient Greeks.
