Its story
Its light departed from Puppis —the stern of the ancient ship Argo— when Charles II still reigned and the Baltic shipyards were building the first fleets of modernity. It is an orange K-type star, cooler than the Sun and tinted with old gold. Puppis ploughs the southern sky as if it were still rowing among nebulae and galactic dust.
