Its story
37 Eridani shines with the familiar yellow light of a G-class star, about 350 light-years away in the long course of the river Eridanus. Its temperature is comparable to the Sun s, yet its distance and brightness suggest a more evolved body, larger than our own. The light reaching us tonight left around 1670, while Newton was developing his first optical theories.
