Its story

The river Eridanus winds through the southern sky, carrying with it this white class A star roughly four hundred and seventy-five light years away. Its light set out around the years when Galileo first turned his spyglass on Jupiter and discovered its four largest moons. It now reaches eyepieces that have watched probes visit those same satellites.
