Its story
4 Eridani is a white A-type star lying a little over one hundred and fifty light-years away, along the long winding course of the celestial River that snakes across the southern hemisphere. Its light set off in the mid-nineteenth century, when astronomy was beginning to rely on photography to record the sky. Faint to the naked eye, its clean white tone makes it one of many small references that help trace Eridanus.
