Hot blue starIts story
Along the dark banks of Eridanus burns a hot blue B-class star, whose sharp light has travelled more than six hundred and fifty years before touching us. When it set out, Europe shivered under the Black Death and the Italian states were beginning to invent the first Renaissance. The blue of its surface, far hotter than the Sun's yellow, betrays a young, massive star with a brief life, condemned to shine with violence.
