Its story
In the bosom of Taurus, that figure charging toward the Pleiades, gleams a white F-type star, slightly hotter than the Sun and casting a marginally whiter glow. Its 114 light-years were born in the days of the Treaty of Versailles, when Europe signed a peace that would scarcely last a historical sigh. Today its light — coeval with that fragile armistice — reaches us intact and serene.
