Star profile
HIP 17776
Hot blue starWhat is HIP 17776
Inside Taurus burns a hot blue star, a vigorous B-type, some three hundred and eighty-six light years out. When its light first set out, England had just chartered the early companies that would trade with the East Indies. It now crosses a celestial bull populated by the Pleiades, without claiming for itself that same legendary glow.
