Its story
14 Trianguli is an orange giant 433 light-years away in Triangulum, one of the smallest and most modest constellations of the northern sky. Barely three stars sketch that sharp angle, and others, like this one, slip in between: faint but ruddy. Its light set out while the Renaissance was still uncovering perspective in Italian workshops. Looking at Triangulum is realising how much fits into an apparently empty corner of the sky.
