Its story

Delta Trianguli is one of the closest suns shining within this small northern triangle: a yellow G-type star just 35 light-years away, almost a spectral twin of the Sun. To look at it is, in a sense, to glimpse what the Sun itself might look like seen from such a distance by other eyes in the cosmos: a warm, modest light with no giant pretensions. Its nearness has made it a favoured target in catalogues searching for extrasolar planets around stars akin to our own.
