Theta Piscium belongs to the faint cord linking the two zodiacal fishes. It is an orange K-type giant about 148 light-years away —a veteran star that has burned through its core hydrogen and swelled to several times the Sun's size. Its warm glow mingles with a background of pale stars in a constellation that autumn returns to the sky each year.
