Its story

35 Capricorni is a K-type orange giant 560 light-years away, in the old Sea-Goat of the zodiac. The constellation, one of the faintest, traces a flattened triangle that the ancients linked to a goat with a fish's tail. Its coppery light travels from the late Renaissance, when the first lenses were just beginning to be pointed at the sky.
