Its story
Capricornus, the old sign of the goat-fish, hosts this K-class orange at three hundred and twenty-seven light-years. Its light set out around 1699, in the months when Guillaume Delisle was publishing in Paris his map of Europe, considered the first truly modern one. A discreet, cool star that no navigator ever used as a reference and that has nonetheless held up the autumn northern sky without pause.
