Its story
In the southern plumage of Pavo burns an orange K-type star. Its light departed five hundred and twelve years ago, when Erasmus of Rotterdam was publishing his «Praise of Folly» and Europe was learning to laugh at itself. Cooler than the Sun, its glow arrives coppery and composed, like a quiet ember at the rim of the southern sky. To see it is to lean over a century that discovered the gentle blade of humour as a way of thinking the world.
