Its story

Eta Capricorni is a white type-A star, some 161 light-years away, woven into the gentle outline of the Sea-Goat —half goat, half fish in Babylonian iconography. Its magnitude of 4.8 places it at the very limit of unaided vision in urban skies, but under dark heavens it adds one of the quiet points that close the western contour of Capricornus.
